Free Event: Microencapsulation Intro and Tour
April 13, 2026, 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. (U.S. Central Time)
SwRI welcomes BioFest attendees to 2-hr event that will provide an overview of SwRI, Introduction to Microencapsulation, and a tour of our facilities. SwRI has over 75 years of experience in the field of microencapsulation, nanoencapsulation, and controlled release. We will share this knowledge with you in an overview presentation that will introduce attendees to encapsulation morphologies, how and why microencapsulation is used, general encapsulation characteristics, processes, formulations, and release mechanisms. The two-hour event is intended for scientists, engineers, or business professionals interested in learning about encapsulation, controlled-release, its benefits/limitations, and what questions to consider when evaluating encapsulation as a technology for solving new or existing formulation challenges. The tour will include seeing state-of-the-art lab-scale and pilot-scale equipment and facilities related to the R&D of controlled release materials. The visit overlaps with our 2.5-day in-person Introduction to Microencapsulation workshop. If you are interested in the full 2.5-day paid workshop, please visit our registration page.
Otherwise, complete and submit the registration below for our 2-hr free BioFest event!
Registration closes at 5 p.m. on April 8th or when capacity is reached.
